Vinh Long is a great city for tourists, as you experience local life easily. There are nearly no other tourists around, we only saw one other group on our 2 day trip. The city has great places to eat and is easy to discover by bike. The Bus station can be reached via West Bank Station in Ho Chi Minh. We were very grateful that the home stay Mekong Pottery offered organized trips and also the options to have dinner at the home stay. There was a lot of information provided on the website. The host was always present and open for answering our questions. We recommend the trips we booked via the home stay a lot! We had a great stay. The room and the outdoor bathroom are beautifully made and fit the surroundings so well. It's a little oasis for travellers.

It is a lovely place to stay for one night or two during a Mekong delta trip as there is not so much to do there. If you enjoy long walk, cycling, fishing and good food, then it is definitely worth stopping in Vinh Long on the way to Can Tho. People are really friendly and it is very relaxing there.

A wonderful breakfast is provided and I highly recommend ordering a home cooked meal from Yennie’s mom.

Nothing looks to be touched since and I have stayed this time in 2 different rooms on different floors. it cannot call itself 4 star. At best it’s 3 star but still better then many other around. Food was better 2 years ago but still okay now. only few staff can speak English. Great location though. not bad hotel but you’d expect much more from 4*

The Vincom plaza was nearby however the plaza was really quiet. There were some nice restaurants about 500 meters. We stayed in the second VIN Hotel (B) that have a family room with 2 double beds. Our host ( mom ) cooked us a great breakfast every morning and her authentic dinners were so delicious 😋. Her daughter and mom also helped too. Cold beer, wine and water are available as well as relaxing hammocks. We watched the sunset just next door which is a 5 minute walk. The tour that she organizes is also great!😊
