Had a "garden suite" which was a awesome experience, huge room with tatami mats and the full Japanese experience. Also a balcony, which seems rare in Japan! Great selection in the dinner buffet. Several different onsen options to try.

Great short vacation stay that you can access from Tokyo in several hours. It is really enjoyable to get relaxed both physically and mentally after hard work. The dinner provided by the resort was awesome.

It is a small town that offers a nice beach and some good restorants. It is perfect for relaxing a few days after the tour of the big cities. The first thing you notice is the absence of noise and then the blue sea fills your eyes and you feel peace hugging you.

We went during the winter season in February and it was good weather and an enjoyable stay! We were able to see the cherry blossoms! We saw komuroyama, the volcano omuroyama, did the jogasaki trail, went to kawazu to see the cherry blossoms, the imaihama beach where I definitely recommend to take a bike to go the beach!
I also recommend taking a day-pass at Ito station where you can take as much as you want the subway. However, for the mountains you have to take the buses so use your pasmo / suica card or cash. And it is also important to have a lot of cash on you because a lot of places take only cash.

I made a round trip along Ito coast. The west side is a rural area with its natural beauty and rocky beach well preserved. Not many people and houses, which fit my preference well. The east side boasts some world class white sand beaches, gorgeous rocky cliff view and small islands.

We needed more time!
We needed more time! We loved the coastline and beautiful beaches, the hikes and attractions. You need to be careful with transportation if you don't have a car: make sure you know what buses and trains you are taking in advance. If I could do it again, I would stay longer and rent a car.

City is charming, friendly and efficient people at the restaurants and shops. Safe to walk at night, my kids enjoyed the beach, and of course Jonathon’s restaurant.
Ate lunch at fresh fish restaurant, swam in the ocean in September, and enjoyed the outdoor large spa onsen.
My recommendation is K’s Guesthouse.
Available message at the outdoor spa too!

Food is delicious sushi 🍣 🍱 is fresh and restaurants have their special dish everyday. Where you can find plenty of options to try.
Beautiful retreat for one night between our busier legs of the trip. The public onsen was so nice. The room was silent with good AC and very calming. The hotel called to make a reservation at a local resturaunt a few blocks away with some of the best sashimi we’ve had on the trip. We reserved one of the private outdoor baths at night and it was magical. In the morning, they called a taxi for us free of charge back to the train station. Highly if you’re looking for a 1 night spa recovery!
A friendly welcome ( once they could find an English speaker!)
Huge Japanese style room with rush matting, low tables and futons. Very clean and comfortable.
Our deal included dinner and breakfast. Both were excellent buffets with some western food if you wanted it. My husband was in ecstasy over the beef counter and returned several times.
The Onsen bath was medium sized and lovely.
It's slightly out of town but there's a lovely riverside walk down to the beach that takes 20 minutes.
The room is comfy and the hotel staff is super friendly specially Ms Cheung Li Hua.
Ms Cheung firstly communicate with me in Japanese and once she realise I can speak Mandarin, we start to communicate Mandarin. Ms Cheung is so nice to help us look for Strawberries picking around hotel area and made appointment for us. Though the day for strawberries picking was raining heavily. Appointment had to cancel.
Thanks so much for all the help from hotel staff.
Super friendly host/owner who can communicate well in English. His morning walking tour is worth getting up for. Had great recommendations for places to eat and visit. Was able to tailor breakfast for vegetarians, too.
The room was clean and while I have a mold allergy didn't have any issues here (many old hotels/homes in Japan aren't good for me). The aircon was a high-end Fujitsu model that you don't see very often in lodging and it did a great job.
Amazing sea views of the bay from room (twin with Tatami). Easy to arrive via train to Izu Kogen then <10 min taxi (1200 yen).
Onsen was amazing! 1 rooftop smaller pool + 1 bigger double pool, both in the main hotel. Then the annex building separate onsen was amazing (one open air large onsen pool with views of the bay, and 1 inside pool with sauna and various mineral baths). (free for guests and can use during the day after your checkout too)
Food was great, the girl staff who spoke English helped us on everything was super helpful with our schedules, transportations etc.
The hotel was located on the hill to some extent so we got no disturbances around. Super traditional Japanese rooms and the spacious fresh Onsen was wonderful.
There were steep stairs before we entered the hotel but the staff helped us take the suitcases to the room so that was fine.
It's definitely one the biggest and comfortable hotel rooms that I have stayed so far in Japan. The staff was very cooperative and friendly. Spacious room, and bath. Beds were comfy and good in size. Loved the experience of staying there and will definitely stay there again. (stayed with family including kids)
We stayed at FUTO HOUSE for 2 nights when we were in Ito. Great location and reasonable price. The room was very clean and spacious. We enjoyed the view from our room. Staff was responsive to our messages prior to arrival. The manager was very helpful when we had a delayed luggage issue from the airline.
the onsen is offering both public and private as well as foot bath in lounge garden area.
the staff are all friendly and wishing to help at all times
the breakfast is great even if not included in rate it is not very expensive if you decided to have it in hotel
The view over the river and the location were both impeccable, super easy to reach from Ito Station and in the most picturesque area, right next to the famous museum which is the main attraction of Ito, along with its Onsens of course.
The staff were really lovely and helpful. The public and private onsen facilities were absolutely fantastic. They have a games centre downstairs which was fun. Love that they provide yukata to wear around the hotel + town
One of the nicest experiences at a hotel I’ve ever had. The room is superb. The outdoor private balcony, hot spring tub was magnificent. The dinner exceeded all expectations. The location of stunning. I cannot say enough.
Everything was well care, nice, clean, beautiful Ryokan style. Comfortable mattress. Location was great; excellent view and near to Ito station. Onsen was really impressive. Free coffee. Staff was so nice and helpful.
Beautiful location in mountain area. 7 private onsen baths to enjoy and relax. Our host Yumi was first class and spoke both English and Japanese. Can hear squirrels chirping outside your room.
