Mie Sumi was my attendant—she greeted me, served me meals, answered my questions, set up my bedding, and saw me off. The food was tasty and filling. The bath was large enough for three or four but I was alone while bathing. There is a separate bath for each sex. It was very quiet even though the main street was very close. I thought it would be a great introduction to learn about ryokan through this property. Mie spoke English very well. The price for 1/2 board is far lower than anything you can find elsewhere. The experience is invaluable.
