The property was perfect for our 3 days in Kyoto. The size of the room was great and the beds were comfortable. The rooms were stocked with everything you might need. The cypress tub onset was wonderful after a day of walking. The staff were incredibly kind, understanding and accommodating. We love this place!

Once in a lifetime experience. the activities such as fire ritual, meditation and morning service, night tour are really impressive. Dinner experience also exceeds our expectation. highly recommend this to all who is interested in culture, buddhism and Japan tourism.

Featuring 3-star accommodation, 高野山 宿坊 大明王院 -Koyasan Shukubo Daimyououin- is set in Koyasan, 45 km from Matsushita Park and 47 km from Subaru Hall. Super authentic temple stay. Very beautiful location, and incredible ambiance. Super polite staff (budhist monks), amazing vegetarian food and onsen. We totally felt the vibes!

Offering a garden and garden view, 高野山 宿坊 龍泉院 -Koyasan Shukubo Ryusenin- is set in Koyasan, 45 km from Matsushita Park and 48 km from Subaru Hall. Amazing place to stay. The morning prayer was definitely a highlight. Loved all of it. The temple is beautiful, with amazing gardens. The room was also very nice, spacious and well equipped. Staff was very kind. Dinner was served in a private dining room, the food was very nice (but if you cant eat Japanese food definitely bring something to eat as you cant buy anything at the temple). The onsen was modern and clean, men and women are separated. Thank you very much, would definitely recommend!

Situated in Koyasan in the Wakayama region, 宿坊 光明院 features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. Everyone there was wonderful, willing to help even with the language barrier. The dinner and breakfast were delicious (if you stay more than one night, note that you'll eat the same dinner and breakfast) The room and all the temple was super clean and calm. It was a great place to stay! I really love the ceremonies that I could witness, meditation in the evening, morning ceremony and goma ceremony (fire ceremony). The one thing I was surprised by is that the showers are "Onsen Showers" so it's in a commun room, with little stools where you can clean yourself before entering the bath. Not a negative point, just something I wasn't expecting. Thanks to all the staff there for a wonderful stay!

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, 祇園の宿 杏花 is located in Kyoto, 300 metres from Gion Shijo Station and 600 metres from Samurai Kembu Kyoto. Cannot recommend Gion Kyoka enough. Actually, I'd prefer to give a negative review to prevent everyone from booking this lovely ryokan in the most amazing location in Gion Kyoto. Their team went above and beyond to make arrangements for our party at temples like Saiho-ji. Thank you Miyata-san and the rest of your staff for making our stay exceptional. I hope to visit again soon.

Set in Shirahama, within 200 metres of Shirahama Beach and 1.2 km of Ezura Beach, Shirahama no Yado Daigo offers free WiFi throughout the property. The hotel is run by a very friendly lady who tried to help in every way, the breakfast was very delicious and served ryokan-style. The room was super spacious. Amazing offer.

Nazuna Kyoto Tsubaki St. Provides accommodation located 600 metres from the centre of Kyoto and offers an open-air bath and a shared lounge. I can't say enough about this place, the staff were extremely helpful and kind, the room was amazing, and of course the dinner and breakfast.. again, amazing.. One of the highlights of our amazing trip to Japan!

Located within less than 1 km of Gion Shijo Station and a 15-minute walk of Samurai Kembu Kyoto, Ishibekoji Muan provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Kyoto. Everything was perfect. Sae san was very helpful with everything. Should have stayed there for more than 1 night :)
